i was browsing in mph and i saw this new book by paul coelho (i think that's how you spell his name). its a collection of short stories, random thoughts, excerpts (sooner or later, you'll see books such as this on the shelf authored by Raphael Cheung or Zachary Young. hoohoo. [by then a certain Stephen Yeo would be writing his autobiography]) my my, how i like parenthesis. Anyways. i read one of the passages about a pencil. not the mechanical type... the old skool graphite ones... yknow?
i don't quite remember the exact words, but the 5 characteristics of a pencil that we should learn from is something like this...
1. always know that there's a Hand guiding you and using you.
2. that to be a good pencil you'll need sharpening, and sharpening hurts.
3. wherever you go you'll leave a mark, so make it a good one.
4. if you make mistakes it can be erased for you to try again.
5. how nice the outer layer of wood is doesn't matter. all that matters is the graphite which is within.
summink like that. there's probably some nuances in the meaning here and there so take it with a pinch of salt.
on another note. worship today was amazing. i heard the singers harmonizing and thought.
wow
this is what heaven's going to be like. oh how lurvely is Your dwelling place!
and yea. i figured.... that's why i sing.
