it feels like you've been running for a
long time. yet you look ahead and there's still a long stretch of
road laid out in front of you. the course is
hilly: full of
upslopes and
downslopes. you started off the race at a constant
pace: a pace which you believe you can maintain forever. ahh, but its hard to sticking to that pace going up and down slopes. how
tempting it is to just stop and walk up slopes; how
tiring and
disgusting it is to move those lactic-packed legs.
then again. wouldn't walking make the journey take a longer time, with less satisfaction in the sprint downslope?
...
so what do you do?
you stick to that pace. and you
run.
