i know. cheesy. but yeaaa, back from thailand!!!! went to this place called hua hin, stayed in a resort for 2 days. then stayed in bangkok for another 2 days. was reallly great!!!
let's start with people that i kinda met. 1.on route from bangkok intl airport to huahin the taxi had to stop at the road side along with other cars, because the king of thailand was going through. 2. the queen of thailand and her elder sister had some event in the hotel i stayed in bangkok.. i THINK i saw the queen.. or was it the elder sister?? shruggg. 3. know this guy? he's 黃志瑋. Taiwanese model and actor. saw him in bangkok intl airport. he was in the immigration queue. riiiiight in front of me. oh, make that i saw him twice, saw him again on a bangkok skytrain (thai mrt). amazing eh? oh oh. 4. but the most important one - i met pastor pn's mother!!!! more on that later...
mmm. the resort. its right next to a beach. and the beach faces the east. so i'm guessing that sunrise from the beach would've been a mouth-opening experiencee.. but never went to see it. ahh welll. it would've been high tide anyways. waves crashing here and there... not much of a scene then.. (hwahwa. sour grapes). went running on the beach with my dad one evening. it was relaxing- didn't feel hot nor sweaty. i even ran barefoot on the cool sandy seashore (hope it didn't do any major damages to my leg :/). saw quite a bit of wildlife too. haha. praying mantis. small crabs. hermit crab. dead fishes on the beach. yeppp. cool stuff.
bangkok. we basically ate and shopped ate and shopped. besides going to a snake farm. but i think the most interesting part of the trip was....
hope place!!! basically... HOPE OF GOD CHURCH BANGKOK . yes, that's the place... it really was an eye-opener. there were people even though it was tuesday in bible college i think. while we (mom, sister, brother, me) sat down to take a rest, a conversation started between my mom and a sister sitting nearby. i was just amazed at how there was even something to talk about in the first place. :P . then an old lady came by and joined the conversation, only later did i find out she was pastor pn's mother. even my mom was dumbfounded. heh heh. but that's the thing about church. people that are supposedly "up there" don't even act "up there" at all!
kk. i shall end this longg post with sth i learned..
took this from the beach in hua hin. doesn't really capture how beautiful the scene really was... the sea/ocean just spanned across your view, and stretches all the way to the horizon. yeaah. was wondering- if love was measured in volumes 0f water, all the water from the ocean may be representative of God's love for us, and yet the love that we have in comparison wouldn't even be a teardrop on a finger. yeaa. God is love.
