a fascinating discovery yesterday in ps.
i was walking around ps and so this new japanese shop open called "daiso"
the first impression it gave me was that it was weird cos it sounded like
大嫂 in cantonese which would be your... oldest brother's wife?
but it didn't bother me that much since japanese names are normally weird hohoho.

so i went in bcos it seemed like it sold almost everything and i need to buy cheap pens.
and my were there loads of pens. in packs of 2s, 5s, 7s.... but NO PRICE TAG!!
i took a pack of 2 pens to the counter and asked the price so her reply was "$2"
but that seemed a tad too ex. so i considered another pack.
but i was too paiseh to ask the counter again so i approached another staff.
and she said, (tactfully, and i really mean quite sweetly) "this is a $2 shop sir. everything is $2."

...

like DUH. what's the point of putting price tags if everything is $2?
