wah, today was a very tiring day... and I really learned a lot too.. first thing I noticed was that a lot of p&w songs describe God's love, God's mercy as a river... haha, I'm not a geog student, but I think describing God's love as a river means a lot of things..... -as the song goes, "over the mountains, and the seas, your river runs with love for me" I think God's love is persevering, it'll go through all the mountains all the rivers, just to get to our hearts... [on the side, that's a bit different from the song "i will follow you" isn't it? haha.. ] -its abundant, and ever flowing... Rivers in the world just keep on flowing and flowing... even rivers that dry up during dry seasons are filled with water again when the wet seasons come... I think that shows how God just wants to continue pouring His love and mercy on to uss...
heh, then what does that make us? i dunnno, but i think we as children of God are like mustard seeds planted in the banks of the river... the thing about mustard seeds are that they have very small seeds... but they grow to be very big... so in the same way, we may start of with very small faith, and as very small young seedlings, but with God's love and mercy, we grow to be strong trees with roots growing deep into the ground..
well, just a thot.
oh... i got another question from qt... its from matthew.. Matthew 15:25-28. its about a canaanite woman coming to find Jesus and asking him to help her, then Jesus went something like its wrong to give food meant for children to dogs, and then the woman replied that even dogs eat crumbs that are dropped from the master's table... and Jesus replied that the woman had great faith... just confused... how does that show great faith?
and also reading thru the first few chapters of Matthew I realized the meaning of Jonah being in the fish's belly for 3 days...
