you see, waaaay before genie zhuo (卓文宣) sang the famous duet 梁山伯與茱麗葉 with gary "superman" 曹格, she had a single. well, more like an album. that was like 2002, around sec 2.

[i know this bcos i was living in my own room with cable tv in singapore with my uncle and auntie, whilst the rest of my family were still in taiwan. so i watched a lot of tv. and i missed taiwan so i watched a lot of taiwan tv. and i was a kid so i watched a lot of taiwan mtv. make sense?]

i really liked her single. partly because she was just one year older (her album was named 1986 for a reason), partly because of the tune, partly chorus lyrics, partly mtv, mostly the title of the song: 想家. and it really stuck cos it touched a soft spot in me then. lately, it came back to mind cos it touched another soft spot, though not the exact same spot. so. here's the chorus lyrics-
